CONSUMER PRICES -- Chart. This AP digital embed chart shows the percentage change in consumer prices from the previous year, as measured by the Consumer Price Index, since 2010. In April, consumer prices rose 2.3%, down from March's 2.4% figure. Excluding food and energy, prices rose 2.8% from the previous year, unchanged from March. This chart is current as of May 13, 2025, and will update monthly. Source: Bureau of Labor Statistics.
